This Sunday we are doing something new at tpiclongview called "Pause... Express yourself!" Instead of Pastor Doc preaching we are allowing different people to come up and tell what they've learned and applied since being a part of the church. Five people (or couples) will share about 3-5 min each. This is not testimony but a time of ministry. Kinda like when the teacher have students to come up and read an essay paper to the class on what they've learned.
3 benefits of this:
1. It's keep us from being traditional and IT being about one personality. It shows a new dynamic on what "church" is all about.
2. It's a part of the discipleship process. Keeps people studying, etc. I'll be doing this periodically.
3. It's a great time to invite new guest. New guest will be able to see that this is a church that has a heart to see people grow and express what they've learned.
There will still be worship, altar ministry, and prayer. Pastor doc will do "Pause" periodically throughout the year at both campuses. Get ready to Express Yourself!
